Is merging PDF files free?
Yes. You do not need an account or to install anything, and the final document has no watermark.
Is it safe? Are my files uploaded to a server?
They are not uploaded. Merging runs in your browser, on your own device, so we never receive or store your documents. That makes it a good choice for private paperwork.
How many PDF files can I merge?
There is no fixed limit on the number of files. Because everything is processed on your device, the practical limit is the memory of your browser: very large merges (several hundred MB in total) can be slow or fail, especially on phones.
Will the quality of my PDFs change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompressing text, images or fonts. Some extras that belong to the whole document, such as bookmarks or fillable form fields, may not carry over to the merged file.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Before merging you can drag each file to the position you want or move it with the arrow buttons: the result follows that order.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly: it has to be unlocked first. An "Unlock PDF" tool is coming soon.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. It works in any up-to-date browser, on computers, phones and tablets. On touch screens, use the arrow buttons to reorder files.
