Your files stay on your deviceThey are processed in your browser. We never upload or store them.

How it works

  1. Add your PDF: drag it onto the page or pick it from your device. You will see its pages as thumbnails.
  2. Pick the pages: click the thumbnails (with Shift you pick a range) or type the numbers, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  3. Press "Extract pages" and download the new PDF, with the pages in their original order. Everything happens in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to extract pages from a PDF?

Yes. You do not need an account or to install anything, and the resulting PDF has no watermark.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is read and processed in your browser, on your own device, so we never receive or store your document. The thumbnails of the pages are drawn in your browser too.

How do I pick the pages?

In two ways that stay in sync: by clicking the thumbnails, or by typing page numbers or ranges separated by commas, like 1-3, 5, 8-10. Shift and a click picks every page between two. With the keyboard, the arrows move between pages, Space selects and Ctrl+A selects them all.

In which order do the extracted pages end up?

In the same order they have in the original PDF, even if you picked them in another one. If you need another order, use the Organize PDF tool afterwards.

Will the quality change when I extract pages?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompressing text, images or fonts. Some extras that belong to the whole document, such as bookmarks, links to other pages or fillable form fields, may not carry over to the new file.

What if I need several files instead of one?

To cut a PDF into several files use the Split PDF tool: it splits by ranges or every so many pages and gives you a ZIP with the parts.

Can I extract pages from a very large PDF?

There is no fixed limit. Because everything is processed on your device, the practical limit is the memory of your browser: with PDFs over about 150 MB the tool warns you that it can be slow or fail, especially on phones.

Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?

Not directly: its password has to be removed first. The tool tells you if the PDF is protected.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. It works in any up-to-date browser, on computers, phones and tablets. On touch screens, tap the thumbnails to select them.
